Last week, the representatives of the Cadastre Committee participated in training courses on the development of a geoid model and the management of permanently operating reference stations network   in Gävle, Sweden, which was organized by the Swedish Mapping, Cadastral and Land Registration Authority (Lantmäteriet).

The committee's specialists got acquainted with the Swedish geodetic infrastructure, geoid, elevation system, gravity, the necessary data for defining the Swedish geoid model, GNSS elevation system, absolute and relative gravimetry, and a gravity calculation was performed based on practical work.

During the course, the importance of developing a new geoid model of the Republic of Armenia in order to have accurate heights was substantiated.

After the course, an agreement was reached to continue further cooperation.
