SUREN TOVMASYAN BECOME EUROGEOGRAPHICS MANAGEMENT BOARD MEMBER
Suren Tovmasyan, head of the Cadastre Committee of the Republic of Armenia, was elected the Management Board Member among the representatives of the authorized bodies of the leading countries; the Netherlands, Cyprus and Slovenia, who submitted their candidacies during the election of the new management board members at the Eurogeographics General Conference held on March 19-22.
The election of the head of the Cadastre Committee, Suren Tovmasyan, as the Eurogeographics Management Board Member is a significant event. Armenia has been a member of Eurogeographics since 2007, and this is the first time that the head of the Cadastre Committee represents the Republic of Armenia on the Eurogeographics organization board.
The Management Board Members are elected at each General Conference for a term of two years, which may be extended.
The Management Board is responsible for the overall management of the organization and is composed of a president and at least six members.
