Representatives of the Cadastre Committee of the Republic of Armenia participated in the 15th Plenary Meeting of the United Nations Committee of Experts on Global Geospatial Information Management for Asia and the Pacific (UN-GGIM-AP).
The 15th Plenary Meeting of UN-GGIM-AP was held from September 21 to 24, 2026, in Sanya, People’s Republic of China. The Plenary Meeting was held in parallel with the international symposium entitled “Geospatial Knowledge and Innovation for Climate Resilience and Sustainable Development.”
The event was attended by Suren Tovmasyan, Head of the Cadastre Committee, and Ruzanna Khachatryan, Assistant to the Head. The discussions focused on modern approaches to geospatial information management, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, climate resilience, and sustainable development, as well as on the effective management of spatial data and ensuring interoperability.
During the event, Suren Tovmasyan, Head of the Cadastre Committee, participated in a panel discussion addressing the application of geospatial information in the context of artificial intelligence and climate resilience. He also participated in meetings of the working groups of the UN Global Geospatial Information Management for Asia and the Pacific.
