INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION: BELGIUM

From June 24 to 25, Deputy Head of the Cadastre Committee Nane Ghazaryan and Assistant to the Head Ruzanna Khachatryan participated in the Twelfth Plenary Meeting of the European Region of the United Nations Committee of Experts on Global Geospatial Information Management (UN-GGIM: Europe) in Brussels.

The Committee of Experts on Global Geospatial Information Management was established on July 27, 2011, by decision of the Economic and Social Council, based on the need to promote international cooperation in the field of global geospatial information.

The committee includes experts from all UN member states, as well as a number of international organizations.

The Plenary Meeting of the European Region of the United Nations Committee of Experts on Global Geospatial Information Management held annually.

Within the framework of the event, the members of the Cadastre Committee delegation got acquainted with the report of the European Regional Committee of Experts on Global Geospatial Information Management, the implementation process of the work plan updated during the previous session, the results recorded, and participated in discussions related to outlining the future directions of the structure's activities.

Deputy Head of the Committee, Nane Ghazaryan, made a presentation titled "Armenia to the Formation of a National Spatial Data Infrastructure" related to the topic of the event's agenda, "Reliable Data - Geospatial Data."
