From 27 to 28 April 2026, Mr. Aram Gugarats, Deputy Head of the Cadastre Committee of the Republic of Armenia, participated in the Executive Board Meeting of the United Nations Global Geospatial Information Management for Asia and the Pacific (UN-GGIM-AP), held in New Delhi, India. The meeting was co-chaired by the Survey of India and the competent authority of the Republic of Korea.

The meeting focused on regional geospatial strategies, including geodetic reference frames, GeoAI, and land administration.

The Executive Board convenes at least once a year to provide strategic guidance for the Regional Committee, review progress, and make key decisions on the implementation of its programme of work.

UN-GGIM-AP represents 56 member countries and works to maximize the economic, social, and environmental benefits of geospatial information in support of sustainable development and evidence-based decision-making.

The Cadastre Committee attaches great importance to cooperation within the framework of the United Nations, recognizing it as a key driver for sustainable development, effective governance, and the advancement of modern geospatial systems.
