32nd International Cartographic Conference in Vancouver, Canada

Mariam Petrosyan, Advisor to the Head of the Cadastre Committee, is participating in the 32nd International Cartographic Conference, taking place in Vancouver, Canada, from August 17-22.

The theme of the 32nd ICC Conference is “Mapping the Future: Innovation, Inclusion, and Sustainability,” highlighting topics such as the application of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) in the field of cartography.

This prominent forum, held biennially, is regarded as one of the most prestigious international platforms in the fields of cartography and spatial data, bringing together leading experts, scientists, and policymakers from around the world.

On August 19, Mariam Petrosyan presented a report titled "Building the Foundation of a National Spatial Data Infrastructure in Armenia: Current Status and Future Prospects."

The conference's scientific committee highly commended the presented work, which will be published in the official journal of the International Cartographic Association. This notable achievement highlights the scientific value of the research and brings international recognition to the work conducted in Armenia.

In recognition of Mariam Petrosyan's scientific dedication and commitment to advancing cartography and geographical sciences, the leadership of the International Cartographic Association has awarded her with scholarship to support her continued professional development.
